Welcome to the AGES and 3rd International Conference – Geosciences and Environment web presentation. It will be our honor to have you as a participant in this unique event.
Beginning from 2009, Association of Geophysicists and Environmentalists of Serbia (AGES) started to organize international and regional Conferences  related to Geosciences. Each year, the Conference is organized in  different city in order to more widely promote Environmental- and Geosciences in community, among professionals, public bodies, NGOs, public and private companies employees, but with special attention to our future colleagues, students, high school and elementary school pupils.
The 1st international event was organized in 2009 in Belgrade, Serbia and it was the 5th Congress of Balkan Geophysical Society, with Side Event, CO2 Geological storage, in Mecavnik (SE Serbia) that gathered 200 professionals and 50 students from the Balkan region, Europe, USA and Middle East. The 2nd event was organized in 2010 in Divcibare Mountain (Central Serbia) gathering 100 professionals and 30 students from the region. The 3rd Conference (the 2nd international event) was held in 2011 in Zlatibor mountain (SE Serbia), gathering 120 professionals from Balkan region and Europe, as well as 30 students and 50 pupils from local elementary schools.
All these conferences were spearheaded by AGES founder and President Dr Snezana Komatina Petrovic, AGES Conference team and two AGES/EAGE/SEG/AAPG Student Sections leaders who understand the need for students to gain new skills and knowledge, network with industry professionals and  to present their research to local, regional and international audience. They are also very much active in the mentioned global societies.
The 3rd International Conference: Geosciences and Environment, that will be held in Continental Hotel Belgrade, 27-29 May 2012, is continuation of activities related to promotion of Geosciences at international level. The Conference includes paper presentations (oral/poster), short courses, workshops, networking events, social events and Technical exhibition. We are expecting 250 international and domestic attendees, but for the first time we expect great number (200-250) of international students that will attend the 3rd International Geosciences Student Conference, held 29-31 May 2012, at the same venue place.
All our members are active in preparation of the event and ready for all tasks necessary for the success of the Conference. Join us and experience this AGES international event, its enormous positive energy and great enthusiasm that we all share in AGES Conference team.
